The Locket Pre-owned VG Warner Archive DVD of the 1946 psychological suspense classic. Laraine Day and Robert Mitchum star in this film about an enchanting, beautiful young woman whose childhood trauma involving a locket and the rich family that her mother worked for has left unseen scars that, as they emerge, destroy several men and eventually herself. Day, Mitchum and Brian Aherne, playing a psychiatrist who marries Day, are very good in complex roles. Also complex is the movie’s structure — a series of flashbacks within flashbacks handled so well that the story remains clear. The Warner Archive issued this manufactured-on-demand disc in 2010. The case shows minor shelf wear; the disc is clean and unmarked.
