Description
From the sellerThis stunning Romano-British Barbarous Radiate AE Antoninianus measures 16mm and weighs 3.3g. It appears to have been intended to pass for the PIETAS AVG types of Victorinus or Tetricus with the clear central device of the Jug and other pontifical implements. Lovely patina as well. Fine for type. c. 270 AD. Obverse: radiate bust of emperor right. Reverse: barbaric legend in place of PIETAS AVG… pontifical implements, most clearly the central jug. Please see my other auctions! I’m happy to combine shipping on any number of ancient coins paid for and shipped together to save you money!
