The Cricket was introduced in the very first Next Generation episode and was used throughout the series. The body of the replica is die cast in solid metal. Other parts are formed in ABS plastic. The wooden presentation case is etched with the Starfleet delta insignia and is designed to allow storage and display. The replica has a variety of electronic light and sound designed to simulate the special effects of the TV show.
