These razors were made and marketed from 1946 until 1977 and were considered the "Cadillac" of safety razors. The razor, when wound up, would run (vibrate) for about 2-3 minutes. You wind the knob at the base of the handle and that powers the eccentric crankshaft in the 3 piece razor head.
