The item is a vintage Simpson 260-8 analog VOM multimeter. It is a rugged, portable device used for measuring various electrical properties. It features 36 measurement ranges for both AC and DC voltage and current, as well as resistance testing. The large, tri-colored dial has a mirrored scale to prevent parallax errors. The device uses standard size reverse/recessed safety jacks to prevent operator contact with electrical connections.
