Silver Spoon Set/5 JM Barrows 19th C Antique Vintage Coin Silver Tea Spoons

This set of 5 spoons are JM Barrows coin silver teaspoons (early 19th-century American coin silver, approximately .900 fineness), produced by James Madison Barrows of Tolland, Connecticut.  The monogram for each spoon is “BH” The hallmarks (“J.M. BARROWS” in a rectangular cartouche, visible on multiple pieces) and overall design (down-turned fiddle handles with monograms) are consistent with documented examples of his work. These are solid silver throughout—not plated—and the ruler confirms standard teaspoon dimensions (approximately 5.5 inches / 14 cm in length). They weigh 12 grams each. They have evidence of typical use and wear, including scuffs, scratches, and tarnish. See photos for more information.
