Description
From the sellerHi there. I am selling this really unusual specimen from Morocco. This is a sandstone concretion from the Sahara Desert. What makes this specimen unusual is that when these specimens are found buried they are round and smooth but specimens found at the surface of the sand have these beautiful concentric ring shapes on the side that has been exposed to the elements. This suggests that erosion windblown sand and occasional rain is responsible for their beautifully sculpted shapes. I think they resemble flowers or belly buttons. They're so cute! It would be a great idea to have in a classroom for a teacher, or to have as a part of a gem and mineral and fossil collection. It's a fascinating specimen and I hope it finds a good home out there. Thanks so much for visiting my store. Have a great day!.
