Rare Vintage Mauna Loa Banjolele Banjouke Ready To Play

This is a rare old Mauna Loa banjouke, made by the Lyon & Healy company of Chicago. It’s all original, best I can tell. The old skin is tightened and sounding as good as any larger 7 inch skin. The cool old tuners are holding well. New Aquila strings. Cool old bridge. It’s got a very comfortable, wide fretboard at the nut; it’s about 1 3/8s inches there. The instrument is cleaned, frets lightly dressed and the action is nice and low. It’s different. It’s lightweight. It’s simple. It’s cool. I’ll be taking it to the Old Time jam and seeing how well it does in a large multi-instrument setting. Look at the pictures and evaluate the condition of the instrument, please. Thanks for looking.
