CNW reduced the height to 8'7" (5" lower) and applied 7/8 Murphy ends. Chicago-Cleveland's highly distinctive radial "Common Sense" roof was applied to 625 cars. These 2335 cars were exceptional for their use of an early version of the Chicago-Cleveland Viking roof with wide eaves.
