It is a beautiful alternative to the more common christening blanket. It is very long (almost 5 feet when unfolded). This section buttons with beautiful fabric covered buttons (pictured). The baby rests on the top half of the wrap, and then the bottom half (with the blanket inside if needed) is folded over, and then the long cotton ties wrap to keep the baby snug.
