Rare 1978 NASA Space Shuttle Fit Check Tile, Unique Shape & Color

This is for a very rare and interesting NASA Space Shuttle Fit Check Tile. This unique shape and color Fit Check Tile is dated Jan. 6, 1978. The tile is two tone with brown on top and light blue on the bottom. The top brown section of the Fit Check Tile is stamped with MFG AID, TPVO70-391041-018 NC, 43999-2666699, 6 Jan 78, T-71697-80 with a directional arrow in black. The light blue bottom section is stamped with VO70-391041-064, TR0002. This unique shaped tile measures approx. 9" x 4 10/16" x 4 15/16" and weighs almost 1 lb. This is truly a rare and unique tile that does not show which Space Shuttle this went too. With the date of 1978 this most likely would have been a Fit Check Tile to the first Space Shuttle Enterprise, if not the Enterprise the next shuttle would have been Columbia.
