1922 Germany Meissen Porcelain Medal - "Hungertaler" (Hunger Thaler) Historical Significance: A striking Weimar Republic emergency propaganda token (Notgeld) commemorating the devastating 1922 post-WWI hyperinflation crisis in Berlin. Design: Masterfully sculpted by Emil Paul Börner. The front depicts an emaciated mother holding her baby in a plea for help. The reverse features a stark, barren winter tree. Material: Authentic reddish-brown Böttger stoneware (unglazed porcelain) made by the world-famous Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen. Diameter: ~51 mm In mint condition, see pics for details.
