The product is an oval shaped black wooden footstool with either a hand painted yellow "distelfink"( a stylized godfinch representing good luck bird ) or another similar folk bird and surrounded by floral and green leaves. featuring a Dutch design with a bird and tulip motif. It is initial (J R B )signed by the artist and made of wood in the United States during the mid-20th century(1949.) This Americana style footstool is a unique and charming piece that would make a great addition to any antique or primitive collection.
