Pair of Antique Qing 19th c. Chinese Gilded Carved Wood Panels w/ Scholars Scene

This is a wonderful pair of very old antique Chinese hand carved wood figural panels. I believe they are scholars and in the garden discussing wisdom and philosophies, These are hard carved all the way through with open work and we’re originally part of a larger piece of furniture..maybe a bed ..screen or chest ..not sure ..they are very old and originally would have been Chinese lacquer red and heavy gold gilt ..you can see some remnants up close on the fronts and on the back you can see the finish. They are well carved and have fine details..please refer to the pictures. They measure about 10 by 11 inches and 3/4 of a inch thick. They are as picture and conditioned . Thanks for looking.
