The model is of a CNW SD9 locomotive, a six axle locomotive, in the series #1701-1710. Initially used in passenger service, but spent most of its life freight service or heavy switching. The model is a very exact model of the prototype in brass construction. The model has not been painted. Nor does it have couplers.
