New Jersey National Guard Faithful Service Medal Original older New Jersey National Guard Faithful Service Medal, crimp mounted brooch ribbon with silver and enamel pendant. Pendant marked STERLING on back. No wear to ribbon and no damage to metal or enamel. This was the second version of this medal, introduced in 1928 and awarded for varying degrees of service. Medal itself is now obsolete, replaced by service ribbon.
