A very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Giuseppe Lecchi allievo di Cesare Candi fece in Genova 1934 Lecchi Giuseppe. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Golden orange varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The total length of the violin is 591 mm, body – 357 mm.
