Here is another discovery from the estate of my mad scientist/engineer friend who died in January. The ETS Mode stands for EMG Triggered Stimulation which is a hybrid mode where the device waits for the user to reach a certain level of voluntary muscle effort before providing a 'boost' of electrical stimulation to help complete the muscle contraction.
