These items are vintage Missouri Retailers Sales Tax tokens from the 1930s, utilized when the state sales tax was less than one cent. They are typically made of cardboard, often referred to as "milk tops" due to their resemblance to milk bottle caps. This batch of tokens consists of Eight (8) - "One Mill" (1/10 of a cent) and Two (2) - "Five Mills" (1/2 cent).They served as receipts for sales tax paid on small purchases.
