That season, Lebfebvre was teammates with catcher Mike Heath who went from the Yankees to the Tigers, and fellow outfielder Buck Showalter who has gone on to a successful managerial and announcing career. Lefebvre was called up by the Yankees but ended up with the Padres and Phillies. Bat is cracked on the backside and held down by two brads.
