Mid Century Modern Furniture Widdicomb Surfboard table American Mid-Century mahogany coffee table, with an elongated oval surfboard top with a shallow lip supported by two rectangular wooden legs. T.H. ROBSJOHN-GIBBINGGS FOR WIDDICOMB. T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings was was an architect and designer who worked into the first half of the twentieth century, and was a designer for Widdicomb furniture Co. of Grand Rapid MI. from the mid 40s through the mid 50s. His work has become an iconic form for Mid Century furniture, and there is much to see online, including a couple of these tables. This table is in excellent condition, with the exception of a repair on one of the legs. Has been in the family since the day it was bought. I will look at any reasonable offers, thanks for looking.
