10" in diameter. Black lacquered composite underside with three feet. Top stamped TOWLE STERLING 81 on the side rim. Has oxidized freckles and pressure lines in center where something pushed slightly into the top. Typical abrasions from travels, use, polishing. This pattern and item has been used to demonstrate an example of the mid century modernist movement. The pictures tell the story. Weight of the silver would be impossible to determine without permanently altering the piece. Maybe someone has scrapped these and it's documented somewhere, but not my project. Sold as found.
