…… This auction is for an antique, Coin Silver Pie Server by Charles T. Ridgway of Nashua, New Hampshire. Charles T. Ridgway (1815–1906) was one of New Hampshire's best-known 19th-century silversmiths, working in Nashua during the mid-1800s. His silver is well documented in museum collections, including the New Hampshire Historical Society, where examples bearing the same "C.T. RIDGWAY" and "NASHUA" maker's marks are preserved. Ridgway produced quality coin silver flatware in the traditional American style before sterling silver became the industry standard. This elegant pie server features a classic mid-19th-century design and would make an excellent addition to any collection of American coin silver or New Hampshire silver. It measures 8 1/2" long with a 4" by 2 1/2" plate, and weighs 1.68 troy ounces or 52.4 grams.
