Used item. K5* facing (as best as I can see). As shown in photos, sides of mouthpiece have scratches, but the rails, facing and tip are clean and smooth. Clearly has discoloration as ligature was left on for a significant amount of time allowing the lower half to become lightened. However this will not affect the sound, just give it a unique look. Era of Production: Mouthpieces under the "Meliphone Special" name were produced by The Woodwind Company from the 1920s through 1967. Due to its age, I have no history on this item and can not guarantee the facing. I can not say if it’s been refaced at any point in its past.
