From the sellerFor bid is an original May 8, 1951 membership certificate from the “CIRCUS FANS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA” with artwork by Karl Rae Knecht. Certificate has all kinds of circus imagery including silhouettes of elephants along the bottom margin. Certificate issued to Jerome C. Maxfield and hand-signed by artist Karl Kae Knecht as PRESIDENT of the organization and circus historian Gil Conlinn as Secretary. Colorful membership certificate framed with glass. Probably famed in the 1950’s. GREAT piece of American circus history. This was certificate number 2105.
