From the sellerThe text "MAISON FONDÉE EN 1854 PARIS" printed on the Louis Vuitton insert translates to "House Founded in 1854, Paris."The exterior monogram canvas and golden brass snap are in beautiful vintage condition. Please note the interior side pockets have typical vintage "sticky pocket syndrome" where the synthetic brown lining is flaking/peeling due to age. This is a common historical manufacturing trait and can be easily cleaned out or relined. The binder mechanism snaps tightly and holds pages perfectly.
