This set of five 1980 stamps commemorate the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in England. They are presented on a Souvenir envelope postmarked 5/12/1980 in Manchester. Inside is information about the stamps from the British Post office Philatelic Bureau. These stamps showcase a piece of British history and would make a great addition to any railway or stamp collection. NOTE: I bought these as a boy growing up in South Devon, England. My father worked for British Rail, and my Grandfather came from Manchester. So I remember liking the connection!
