Instructions #397-49 dated 12/48, Lionel. Base is Very Dark Grey. NOTE I unscrewed the yardlight from the base so it wouldn't get broken. Also there is chipping of Red paint from the Bakelite Scoop and loss of Yellow Paint from the Generator which is opaque white mold.
