Lie-Nielsen No. 7 Bench Jointer Plane, 2-3/8" iron

These planes are still manufactured by Lie-Nielsen but are perpetually out of stock, get a great one right now! In used but babied condition, it has usage marks on the sole but is very very clean and rust free otherwise. The iron is cambered only at the very edges so that jointing an edge is dead-flat but truing a face won’t leave blade edge marks. But do with it as you will. I always sharpened with a Veritas jig so it’s at a clean 90 degrees to the iron edge and the frog. The frog is a 50 degree York pitch rather than 45, since I tended to work with figured stuff. It’s not at all difficult to push through softer/more straightforward stock since it’s so darn heavy. There’s a small paint chip on the black edge, see pic for details. Good luck bidding!
