Description
From the sellerA large and unusual Staffordshire money box or coin bank. It is modelled as the traditional toby figure of a seated man holding a pitcher in one hand and a cup in the other. His coat is a rich dark blue, his pants a rust color, his hair greenish gray and his face pink and highlighted with gold. It is large measuring 6 1/2" in height and 6 1/2" across from the handle tip to the front. It is in very good condition with the typical Staffordshire light crazing and some flakes of the blue cost paint on one side (see photo #5). We haven't seen this bank form before.
