From the sellerTURNED FROM ONE SOLID PIECE OF DEFECT-FREE CHERRY HEARTWOOD. LARGE CHERRYWOOD BOWL TURNED BY MYSELF IN 1985 AND MARKED AS SUCH ON THE BOTTOM. CONDITION OF BOWL IS EXCELLENT; A COUPLE OF VERY SMALL NICKS FROM USE; IN ADDITION, A VERY SMALL OPENING DEVELOPED EARLY ON AFTER TURNING LIKELY DUE TO STRESS IN THE WOOD - THIS WAS REPAIRED AND HAS REMAINED INTACT FOR DECADES (THE PRESENCE OF THE CRACK IS DIFFICULT TO OBSERVE - SEE THE PHOTO SHOWING A YELLOW LINE ON EACH SIDE OF WHERE THE OPENING ORIGINALLY OCCURRED).
