Up for grabs is a traditional Bwoom “royal” helmet mask, which originates from the Kuba Kingdom in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The extensive use of imported cowrie shells and colored glass beads represents profound wealth, prestige, and royal privilege, as these materials historically functioned as regional currency. Also included is a small metal African mask. A photo of the original receipt from 1989 for these items can be seen in the listing. This was purchased in South Africa and comes from the estate of an individual who traveled extensively. Thanks for looking!
