JEFF HUGHART Outsider Artist “Little Crown”

Jeff Hughart is a well-known self-taught artist in the Outsider art community who grew up in southern California before moving to Bisbee Arizona. He creates fictional and distorted creatures and bizarre settings and refers to his work as “tragic whimsy”, and happens to be color blind in the red/green range. He was introduced to art and began drawing at an early age as his father was an artist. He then went on to work as a tech photographer, played bass in punk bands, & published fanzines before going back to his roots in painting. This piece is titled “Little Crown” and was created in 2011.
