Incredible collection of two photo albums and a handwritten journal belonging to a sailor on the USS Schroeder during WW2. One album is mostly military, planes, etc and the second is a combination of military and Homefront with his family and girlfriends. There are great photos of sailors on the ship and the journal is a great daily log of what was happening on the ship mainly in 1945 including assisting planes going in and out of Iwo Jima. The pages are loose in one album. Approximately 505 photos plus the diary!
