Description
From the sellerHotel Silver Individual Coffee Pot for table service from Dayton, Ohio's Van Cleve Hotel (open 1928-1967; demolished 1969), a major downtown hotel. This piece was once lacquered, and retains a bright surface with some darkened areas where the finish has failed. It stands 7" tall and has various dents, dings and scratches associated with constant commercial use. Bears the International Silver Company date mark for 1953. Of interesting historical note: the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress was designed over a single weekend spent at the Van Cleve by Boeing engineers.
