Hippie Dick was a ground-breaking gay zine produced by Gene Barnes in San Francisco in the early 1990's. They were hard to find when they were first produced and they much harder to find now. I was very fortunate to have known (in the biblical sense) three of the guys associated with this issue: the two Santa Cruz hippies shown in their beaded curtain doorway, and Gene Barnes himself.
