Here Is My Heart Bing Crosby Kitty Carlisle 1934

Bing Crosby’s early career coincided, fortunately for him, with the beginning of the talkie movies. He had two movies in 1930, one of them with just one song, three each in 1931 and 1932, the six in 1933. This movie, in 1934, was a feature film, not like the two-reelers that had dominated the previous years. His pairing with Kitty Carlisle, for the second time in this movie, was part of building out process whereby a romantic interest or performing partnership made the plot less thin. This herald, for a New Orleans theater, is in good condition. Note the overture to “colored patrons” on the reverse. During the Depression, no theater would turn away a dime from someone wanting to see a movie.
