Description
From the sellerGot it from a friend, this Globe Model LA-1 Vintage Linear Amplifier Powers Up. He dug into the amp PS and stripped out the SS diodes. He also Found the 5VAC rectifier filament windings and HV center tap. The pictures show around 600VAC from the Transformer, but he installed and wired the correct 5R4GY tube and it now has around 400VDC out. He did not took the unit off standby without knowing the filter caps condition, bias situation for the power tubes and the untrustworthy selenium rectifier. Hopefully the rectifier will survive the trip with the hanging filaments. Sold As-Is. CONUS Shipping Only. No returns accepted.
