Gengensai Konomi Utsushi Goge Uta Natsume by Nakamura Kosai for Japanese Tea Ceremony. This very charming natsume is a copy of one designed by Gengensai (Urasenke 11th generation), is after the bowl the holds Go game stones. The natsume is shunkei-nuri with poem in black lacquer. The poem in lacquer on the natsume was written by Sōtan: "hana mo naku, mi mo naki kare ki, ikete mi yo, kokoro no hana wa, nanika masaramu" Trans. "neither flower, nor fruit on bare branches, trying to arrange them (it seems that the) heart's flower, somehow surpasses (them). Dimensions: D.3 1/4" x H.2 3/8". Condition: excellent. Comes in origial wood box with hakogaki.
