From the sellerThe Briggs initiative also known as California proposition 6 was introduced in 1978. The ballot measure sought to fire gay and lesbian public school teachers. The discriminatory measure was overwhelmingly defeated with much help from activists, including Harvey Milk. Buttons are 2”, 1 3/4” and 1 1/2” in diameter.
