Description
From the sellerThis baby palm frond fossil would make a distinctive addition to any fossil or rock collection. I found this fossil in the North Central Cascade Mountains off the side a remote logging road. The age of this and other fossils at the site were between 30 to 50 million years old, when this location had a more tropical environment and warmer climate patterns. The palms that now grow in the Pacific Northwest have been transported here from their native homes in the southern US, Mexico, and other parts south. On the back of this fossil, you can see other leaf or plant stalk fossils.
