Description

From the seller
Beautiful fossilized branching coral specimen from upper Michigan. This ancient coral (cladopora) once lived in the great Devonian Seas in the middle of the North American Continent. This fossil dates from around 350 million years ago. I personally found this fossil in a small rock quarry on the Leelanau Peninsula, on the upper west coast of the lower peninsula of Michigan. It measures 5" x 3-3/4" x 1" and weighs about a pound.
