Elson-Gray Basic Readers Curriculum Foundation Series Books 1 & 2 Set (1936)

These are original 1936 editions of the Elson-Gray Basic Readers (Book One and Book Two). Published by Scott, Foresman and Company as part of their famous Curriculum Foundation Series, these elementary school textbooks were foundational in American education and are historically significant for introducing early iterations of the famous characters Dick and Jane. This green-and-black illustrated cloth cover style two-volume set of Book One and Book Two display wear, corner bumping, and fraying typical of heavy classroom use. Copyright page is torn out of Book Two, a few pages are torn. See photos.
