Description
From the sellerFive cents size silver coin, with President Kruger on the obverse. British forces captured the Dutch colony at the Cape of Good Hope in 1795 and 1806, and obtained title to it in 1814. In the Boer Wars, British forces defeated the two republics and annexed the lands, which were joined with the British colonies of the Cape of Good Hope and Natal to form the Union of South Africa in 1910.
