From the sellerIndulge in a gorgeous and rare antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Pendant Necklace of a Winged Scarab Insect done in gorgeous iridescent enamel and 800 Silver. The fabulous pendant depicts a winged Scarab beetle, one of the signature motifs of ancient Egypt and of the Egyptian Revival movement. The pendant is done with extraordinary Blue, White, Red and Green Enamel. The combination of the colors is just exquisite and the design of the pendant is the finest Art Deco Egyptian Revival style. The pendant is 800 Silver which was the primary silver content used in most of continental Europe. It dates to the Art Nouveau to Art Deco period, circa 1880-1920. The winged scarab held profound meaning in ancient Egyptian culture, symbolizing rebirth, transformation, and the eternal cycle of life.
