From the sellerThe briquette is strongly magnetic. Do note a magnet attached to the briquette. More information can be gleaned from this link, ethw.org/Edison_and_Ore_Refining. Once the iron ore (magnetite) had been concentrated, it was processed into a briquette form for use in the blast furnaces.
