Eb Alto Horn By G. Pelitti

Eb Alto Horn by G. Pelitti of Milan likely from the late-nineteenth century. The playing condition is very good- all three rotary valves work well, and all slides are free and move easily. The water key works well. It takes a trumpet mouthpiece fine, but it fits further into the lead pipe than it would on a trumpet. I assume an alto mouthpiece would fit differently but plays fine with a trumpet one. See the photos for the condition of the instrument- many dents but nothing that would be a major problem to have repaired. The height of the instrument is 21” from bell to the bottom. The bell is 7.5” across. No case.
