The 1963 Duke Kahanamoku Butch Van Artsdalen Custom Longboard Surfboard . my friend bought this board from Bill Hickey when he got back from Vietnam, the dings in the board are from 1965 Surfing steamer Lane in Santa Cruz. This was before leashes and I don’t even think he had a wetsuit at that point, he said he never went back in the water and I got the board from him in over 25 years ago. It is a gem of history. When I thought about Places for this one too go to I was thinking of the lobby at Kukio, this Board carries that kind of weight.
