Outsider artist Bob Hoke, is a self-taught artist who lived in an old church in Hannibal, Missouri along the Mississippi River before moving to Springfield, Illinois. Hoke considers himself a “bohemian dumpster divin outsider artist “. His work has a theme consistent with chaos & humor. This piece is from July 2011 and is titled Dr. Gonzo. He found this piece of wood in an old building on Main Street across the street from Mark Twain‘s dad‘s lawyer office in downtown Missouri. A dear friend of mine purchased this piece on eBay & came with a note signed by Hoke himself.
