DGH Necklace Earrings Sterling Silver Denmark Dansk Guldsmede-Håndværk Modernist

This is a very rare classic Mid-Century Modern Necklace and Earrings in Sterling Silver made in Denmark by Dansk Guldsmede-Håndværk (1954-1973). The gorgeous handmade set is extremely heavy silver weighing 172 grams. The necklace has heavy sterling links in a modernist flower motif. The matching earrings are just fabulous. Dansk Guldsmede-Handvaerk means Danish Goldsmith-Handmade. The mark was used between 1854 and 1973. The pieces are extremely fine hand made silver, often of considerable weight, and with magnificent Mid-Century modern design. The necklace and earrings are superb museum quality examples of the artistry and craftsmanship of the DGH silver jewels. They are truly Mid-Century Scandinavian design at its very best. The necklace is 23 inches (58.5 cm) long. It is 1 inch (26mm) wide. The necklace weighs 154.7 grams.
